Great Cemeteries

One of the places I always visit while travelling, are cemeteries. I find it very interesting to see the different styles of them in the various countries I have been. In summer 1988 I have been in Paris for a few days and got to visit the great "Le Père Lachaise". I took a lot of pictures and will show some of them here.

Some months later in fall 1988 I took my camera to the old Jewish Cemetery at the "Ohlsdorfer Friedhof" in my hometown Hamburg, Germany. It was a foggy day and no one else was walking through the peaceful and silent graveyard. The old Jewish cemetery at Ohlsdorf is the only open Jewish cemetery in Hamburg - though we do have some more of them, but they are usually not open to the public any longer.
