Some months later in fall 1988 I took my camera to the
old Jewish Cemetery at the "Ohlsdorfer
Friedhof" in my hometown Hamburg, Germany. It was a foggy day and no
one else was walking through the peaceful and silent graveyard. The old
Jewish cemetery at Ohlsdorf is the only open Jewish cemetery in Hamburg
- though we do have some more of them, but they are usually not open to
the public any longer.
